Every painting begins with a person willing to explore an idea. Every collector finds a piece that speaks to them. Every conversation, exhibition and collaboration starts with a shared appreciation for creativity.
We exist to bring those people together.
Our role isn’t to define what art should be. It is to encourage, support and celebrate those who have the courage to create it. Whether that means helping an emerging artist make their first print, framing a cherished original, introducing collectors to new talent or providing a platform where creativity can flourish, we believe every step matters.
Because a thriving artistic community isn’t built by one person.
It is built by people who inspire one another, who share their knowledge freely and who celebrate each other’s successes.

A Brief History
Ulverston Art House began as an idea to create a space where a couple of artists could work without having to saw off the top of their easel to fit in the loft and separate the work/home dilemma.
The journey, experience and lessons learned avenue continues today with exciting progress as we develop our aims and goals in Ulverston to accommodate a warm welcoming venue for creative inspiration.
Ulverston holds a treasure of undiscovered talent with obvious undertones that ripple to the surface during many spritely festivals throughout the year.
From a stroll through the cobbles or an exploration into the ancient nooks there is a sense of something very magical, reinforced by the ever present guardian on the hill.
